If you ever experience an issue where KC prints fine when logged in as admin user but when you log in as an end user and try to print you get an error, there is an issue with the Windows Permissions/Security. Sometimes you can overstep it by setting KC to always run as admin. Please see below.
Location your Kennel Connection icon on your desktop and Right mouse click on it.
Choose Properties.
In the Properties Window, choose the "Compatibility" tab.
At the bottom of the Window, please a check mark where it says "Run this program as an administrator".
Click Apply and OK.
This will tell your machine to always open KC as if you were a Windows admin user giving KC the proper permissions to print.
Please note: This is a workaround for the Windows Permission/Security issues. It may or may not work. If it does not, you will need a local technician to diagnose and fix the issue.
Windows 8 and 10 users, the User Account Controls, or UAC, in Windows 8/10 can be completely disabled through a registry option to fix this issue but that will prevent all your Windows 8/10 Metro apps on your desktop from working.
Windows 8 and 10 users see next section.
WINDOWS 8 and 10 USERS
If you are running Windows 8 or 10, you may run into a file registration issue when setting KC to always run as admin. This is because even though you have disabled UAC, Windows 8 and 10 still keeps the UAC enabled as it needs UAC to run the new METRO Apps. This still blocks this file from being used with admin privileges. Please follow the below instructions to allow KC6 to run as admin on Windows 8 and 10.
